Short description

David Rice is a man who knows no boundaries, a Jumper, born with the uncanny ability to teleport instantly to anywhere on Earth. When he discovers others like himself, David is thrust into a dangerous and bloodthirsty war while being hunted by a sinister and determined group of zealots who have sworn to destroy all Jumpers. Now, David’s extraordinary gift may be his only hope for survival!

When David and Griffin enter a combat zone, the soldiers around them speak Russian, ostensibly Russian military equipment is moving, and the license plate Х049AР reg 95 RUS (region 95 – the Chechen Republic) is visible on a burned-out bus.
Work on the film was marred by a series of accidents, one of which resulted in a fatality. On January 25, 2007, set designer David Richie died on the filming set in Toronto when a slab of frozen sand and soil collapsed on him while he and three other workers were dismantling exterior sets in challenging weather conditions.
At the 52nd minute of the film, Griffin is holding an Xbox game controller and playing the video game Halo, which was an Xbox exclusive, but in one of the following shots he is flipping through game discs for the PlayStation 2 console.
At the 37th minute of the film, while Griffin is sitting on the roof, a film crew and a camera dolly moving along tracks can be noticed below, in front of the Colosseum.
Director Doug Liman insisted that most of the stunts be performed by Hayden Christensen himself, without the use of trained stunt doubles. This decision proved costly for the actor, who suffered a deep cut to his hand, and one fight scene with Samuel Jackson resulted in a serious ear injury. Additionally, one of his pupils became severely dilated, requiring the use of special eye drops during filming, and the actor had to seek medical attention at a nearby hospital.
After lengthy negotiations, the film's producers obtained permission to shoot in the Roman Colosseum for three days (December 13-15, 2006), which had been achieved by very few before. Many tourists didn't even realize that filming was taking place and, unknowingly, were used as extras.
The role of Millie could have gone to Evan Rachel Wood, who turned down the offer. In April 2006, it was announced that Millie would be played by 20-year-old Australian actress Teresa Palmer, but in October of that year, a month after filming had begun, she was replaced by 25-year-old Rachel Bilson.
When Griffin said, '...some psycho wanted to teleport a house... died while moving it... but he gave the building a shake,' the authors were referring to Nikola Tesla.

At the 78th minute of the film, David teleports onto a balcony, and from the outside it is visible that the window curtains are completely lowered. When he looks through the window in the next shot, the roller blinds are already slightly raised. In the following scene, David moves into the room to free Millie, and he is attacked by the Paladin, who enters the room from the balcony, although no one was there before.
At the 58th minute of the film, David teleports to Tokyo, and wet marks are clearly visible on his clothes. As he walks down the street and through the underground passage after Griffin, the marks disappear. When, a minute later, David is near Griffin by the pedestrian crossing, the water droplet marks reappear on David's clothes.
At the 41st minute of the film, Griffin holds a bat in his left hand and raises a fragment of a statue with his right. When he teleports and appears in front of David, the bat is already in his right hand, and the fragment disappears. When Griffin teleports closer to David a second later, he throws the statue fragment with his right hand.
At the 7th minute of the film, when Millie goes outside, the river in the background is completely ice-free. However, in one of the previous scenes, David walked onto the ice, and the river was covered in ice from bank to bank.
