What's left behind the scenes
- Gary Oldman agreed to voice General Grievous, but was unable to work under Lucas' direction. As Gary is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, he is not allowed to work with actors who are not members of the Guild.
- Stunt coordinator Nick Gillard played the Jedi Kean Drallig. Jeremy Bullock (Boba Fett in the original trilogy) played the role of Captain Colton.
- Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker are the only actors to have appeared in all six episodes. Frank Oz, who voiced Master Yoda, rounds out the top three, having participated in five episodes. As for the characters, Obi-Wan Kenobi unconditionally holds the top spot, appearing in all six episodes. He was played by two different actors (Ewan McGregor in the second trilogy).
- Lucas's team was unable to abandon location shooting entirely. During editing, the crew traveled to Thailand, Switzerland, and China. The actors did not have to participate in these shoots, as only natural landscapes were filmed.
- The final battle involving Mace Windu takes place in three huge rooms and consists of exactly 102 movements.
- In the episode of the transport landing near the Senate building, the ship "Millennium Falcon" (or a ship of a similar model) can be seen in the lower right corner of the screen. In the Expanded Universe of "Star Wars", which goes beyond the films, it is confirmed that this is indeed the "Millennium Falcon", but under a different name, long before Han Solo became its owner.
- The enterprising George Lucas is used to turning everything he touches into gold. A paid service was organized on the official Lucasfilm website, allowing users to follow the filming process of certain scenes via webcams installed in the studio pavilions.
- Unlike previous episodes, "Revenge of the Sith" was filmed almost entirely on studio sets. The only location scene had been shot during the production of the second episode. With the events of the third episode already in mind, George Lucas had filmed this scene in the Tunisian desert three years prior. In this scene, Obi-Wan Kenobi delivers the young Luke Skywalker to his uncle and aunt.
- Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu) knew his character was destined to die as early as the contract signing. Jackson asked for only one favor: "I want my character to die like a true hero, not some pathetic punk." George Lucas took these wishes into account, and Mace's death became a truly memorable event in the film.
- Actors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen spent about two months preparing for the battle scenes. The main focus was on the art of fencing.

His three children also played cameo roles: his son, Jett, became Zett Jukassa, a dying Jedi who defends the Jedi Temple from clones; his daughter, Amanda, plays the character of Terr Taneel, who can be seen on a security system hologram; and his daughter Katie, the blue-skinned Chi Ikwé, who can be seen when Palpatine, rescued by the Jedi, arrives at the Senate.
