The Pink Panther diamond is stolen once again from Lugash and the authorities call in Chief Inspector Clouseau from France. His plane disappears en-route. This time, famous French TV reporter Marie Jouvet sets out to solve the mystery and starts to interview everybody connected to Clouseau.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film is composed of scenes that were not included in the previous five films of the franchise with Peter Sellers (1925-1980), and new material with other actors was simply filmed. Some of the material included in the film dates back to 1963 – 19 years before the filming of this movie. It is claimed that before this film's release, some archival footage featuring Peter Sellers' character was little known to the general public.
