Short description

A sailor helps two sisters start up a service canteen. The sailor soon becomes taken with gorgeous sister Jean, unaware that her sibling Patsy is also in love with him.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Gracie Allen (1895-1964) detested the constant bustle and endless waiting that accompanied filming and grumbled about it incessantly, to which her husband George Burns (1896-1996) invariably pointed out that filming was beneficial for their public recognition and their finances. By the time this film was shot, the acting couple had enough recognition and were financially well-off, so upon completing the shoot, Allen declared categorically that she had had enough and that this was her final film role; indeed, she quit the acting profession.
