After Kick-Ass’ insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, he joins a patrol led by the Colonel Stars and Stripes. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist — reborn as The Mother Fucker — only the blade-wielding Hit-Girl can prevent their annihilation.

- After filming, Jim Carrey changed his attitude towards the film due to the high level of violence depicted in it. He wrote on Twitter: "I did 'Kick-Ass' a month before Sandy Hook and now, with hindsight, I can't support that level of violence. I'm not ashamed of the film, but in light of recent events, I've changed my mind."
