Short description
Tarzan was a small orphan who was raised by an ape named Kala since he was a child. He believed that this was his family, but on an expedition Jane Porter is rescued by Tarzan. He then finds out that he's human. Now Tarzan must make the decision as to which family he should belong to...
What's left behind the scenes
- Woody Allen was initially approved to voice Tantor the elephant, but DreamWorks Animation SKG CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg convinced him to voice Zed in the animated film "Antz" (1998), which was in production at the time.
- A specially created computer program called Deep Canvas was used in the making of the cartoon, allowing two-dimensional characters to be inserted into a three-dimensional space.
- When working on Tarzan's movement in the fog, the animators based it on the movements of professional skateboarder Tony Hawk on a board.
