From the director of “Made In America” and “The Money Pit” comes a hilarious look at one of the most expensive blunders in military history. Over 17 years and almost as many billion dollars have gone into devising the BFV (Bradley Fighting Vehicle). There's only one problem. . . it doesn't work. (Spoiler alert: 25 years later ... it does work.)
What's left behind the scenes
- The film quite rightly shows that too much time was spent on the creation of the Bradley IFV. The film is included in the training program for the US Air Force command.
- The vehicle was named 'Bradley' only after the death of General Omar Bradley in 1981.
- The Israeli army did not acquire the Bradley. Until the release of this film, the Bradley IFV was only in the arsenal of the Saudi Arabian army outside the US. A number of these vehicles were recently delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
