Short description

Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog are best pals and the unsung heroes of the African savanna. This prequel to the smash Disney animated adventure takes you back -- way back -- before Simba's adventure began. You'll find out all about Timon and Pumbaa and tag along as they search for the perfect home and attempt to raise a rambunctious lion cub.

What's left behind the scenes

Timon's story about how he left the meerkat colony is based on a short episode that was cut from the animated film 'The Lion King' (1994).
Veterans of Simba's voice acting – Matthew Broderick (who voiced Simba in all three 'The Lion King' animated films) and Cam Clarke (who sang for Simba in 'The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride' (1998) and voiced the character in all Disney's animated spin-offs) – participated in the work on the film.
Throughout the film, the hyenas have either three, four, or again three claws on their paws.
When Timon and Pumbaa go to sleep after an argument between Simba and Nala, their bed is lined with leaves. Later, it is shown that they are sleeping on straw.
