Short description
Former FBI Agent Will Graham, who was once almost killed by the savage Hannibal 'The Cannibal' Lecter, now has no choice but to face him again, as it seems Lecter is the only one who can help Graham track down a new serial killer.

Unlike the film, which suggests that Lecter was a constant consultant to the FBI agent, in the book Graham previously only interrogated Lecter as a witness and saw him only twice. The killer was arrested because Graham managed to call for reinforcements on the phone, rather than wounding Lecter. He decides to meet with Lecter again on his own.
- Anthony Hopkins starred in this film 10 years after his first portrayal of Hannibal Lecter. However, in terms of plot and chronology, Red Dragon precedes The Silence of the Lambs. Therefore, to make Hopkins' character appear younger, the actor's age wrinkles were digitally removed in close-up shots.
