Short description

In a social context deteriorated by a countrywide economic crisis, the life of several people will be turned upside down after they meet Cécile, a character who symbolizes desire.

What's left behind the scenes

Deborah Révy originally auditioned for the role that was eventually played by Hélène Zimmer. However, after reading the script, she felt that the role of Cécile was a better fit for her, which is what she convinced director and screenwriter Laurent Bounik of.
Instead of hiring professional actors for the project, director and screenwriter Laurent Bounik simply posted a casting call for the upcoming film on the internet.
Director and screenwriter Laurent Bunik advised Deborah Révy (who played Cécile) to familiarize herself with the work of other independent filmmakers. Together with her co-star Hélène Zimmer, they watched the dramas “Romance X” (1999) by Catherine Breillat and “Intimacy” (2000) by Patrice Chéreau.
Director and screenwriter Laurent Bounik advised Deborah Révy (who played Cécile) to familiarize herself with the works of other art-house cinema representatives. As a result, she and her co-star Hélène Zimmer watched Catherine Breillat's drama 'Romance' (1999) and Patrice Chéreau's 'Intimacy' (2000).
