Short description
Tim and Allie seek shelter in a remote desert compound after becoming lost and stranded. A strange Manson-like character, Preacher, reluctantly allows them inside with strict orders to be gone by morning and not wander "where you are not invited."
What's left behind the scenes
- The film was produced in a hurry because the film company "Dimension Films" was about to lose the rights to the "Children of the Corn" franchise. The previous film, "Children of the Corn: Revelation" (Guy Magar, 2001), had been filmed ten years earlier, and the 2009 television film "Children of the Corn" was not produced by "Dimension Films" at all; it was simply an adaptation of the literary source – the short story of the same name by Stephen King from 1977.
- The film was produced in haste because Dimension Films was soon to lose the rights to the Children of the Corn franchise. The previous film, Children of the Corn: Revelation (Guy Megar, 2001), had been filmed ten years earlier, and the 2009 television movie Children of the Corn was not produced by Dimension Films at all, as it was simply an adaptation of the original literary source—Stephen King's short story of the same name from 1977.
