Short description
Young Dorothy finds herself in a magical world where she makes friends with a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives. The Wicked Witch of the West is the only thing that could stop them.

- MGM costume designers were searching for a worn but elegant coat to dress the wizard. By an incredible coincidence, a coat was found in a secondhand store that had previously belonged to L. Frank Baum, the author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."
- Asbestos was used to simulate snow on the set.
