Short description
Forced to move to a boring backwater town, a teenager embarks on affairs with a teacher and a stoner classmate.

- In a flashback, Laura Lee dances to the song "Kool Thing" by Sonic Youth (1981-2011), released on the 1990 album "Goo." The film itself takes its title from the band's fifth studio album, "Daydream Nation" (1988). One of the film's central characters is named Thurston—likely in honor of the band's vocalist and guitarist, Thurston Moore.
