Short description
A young Western woman is recruited by the Mossad to go undercover in Tehran where she becomes entangled in a complex triangle with her handler and her subject.
What's left behind the scenes
- Some scenes were secretly filmed in Tehran. The government of that country would never have allowed filming by an Israeli director, so Yuval Adler hired a German film company, which in turn used the services of a French film company, and that company organized the filming in Tehran without informing any of the locals what the film was about.
- After reading the bestseller that served as the literary basis for the screenplay, Diane Kruger found out who owned the film rights and expressed a desire to star in the future adaptation. Kruger is German by nationality, who moved to France and then to the United States, so the situation of the film's main character was familiar and close to her.
