Short description
Following a ghost invasion of Manhattan, paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann, and subway worker Patty Tolan band together to stop the otherworldly threat.

- Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman who directed the first 'Ghostbusters' (1984), was once asked if he was considering rebooting the franchise. In response, Reitman joked that judging by his previous directorial work, a new ghost movie would consist only of people talking.
- Emma Stone turned down an offer to star in the Ghostbusters movie. The actress stated that while she liked the script, she did not want to commit to a project that could become a film series almost immediately after filming Marc Webb's 'The Amazing Spider-Man' (2012) and its sequel.
