Short description
As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror.

- Gabby West won an episodic role in the show "Scream Queens," as did Tanedra Howard from the sixth "Saw" film.
- The film is banned from screening in Ukraine.
- Screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan came up with the "Garage" trap while writing the script for the fourth film, but the producers considered it too brutal. The screenwriters tried to include the trap in the fifth and sixth films, but it was only used in the seventh installment at the personal request of Kevin Greutert, the film's director.
- This installment of the franchise cost Lionsgate Studios more than all the others. This is due to the large expenses associated with filming in 3D.
- Over 400 extras were involved in the mall trap scene.
- The screenwriters of "Saw 3D" initially proposed to divide the final chapter into two parts, but Lionsgate studio, disappointed with the box office results of the sixth film, decided to combine the two films into one.

- The film's initial title was "Saw 3D – The Traps Come Alive." After presenting the film at Comic-Con, the producers shortened the title to simply "Saw 3D."
- In the 78th minute, a bloody streak on Jill's forehead can be seen appearing shortly before Hoffman hits her head against the table.
