What's left behind the scenes

  • 18 remakes of the film were made in different countries – including Spain, Mexico, South Korea, France, Hungary, Greece, China, and Russia. This is precisely why the film made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
  • The film's original title coincides with the name of the 1984 album “Perfect Strangers” by the rock band Deep Purple. One scene in the film depicts a lunar eclipse, and a character named Rocco says, “And here’s the dark side of the moon.” “The Dark Side of the Moon” is the title of a 1973 album by Pink Floyd.
  • A Polish remake of the film was also made. Kasia Smutniak (an Italian model and actress of Polish origin) starred in both films.
