18 remakes of the film were made in different countries – including Spain, Mexico, South Korea, France, Hungary, Greece, China, and Russia. This is precisely why the film made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The film's original title coincides with the name of the 1984 album “Perfect Strangers” by the rock band Deep Purple. One scene in the film depicts a lunar eclipse, and a character named Rocco says, “And here’s the dark side of the moon.” “The Dark Side of the Moon” is the title of a 1973 album by Pink Floyd.
A Polish remake of the film was also made. Kasia Smutniak (an Italian model and actress of Polish origin) starred in both films.
