Konstantin Khabensky was supposed to play the role of the bard, but he declined to film, a decision he later regretted.
In one of the film's scenes, the mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, appeared as himself.
Actress Yana Troyanova performed all the stunts in the movie without a double. While filming one of the episodes, she suffered a concussion.
