What's left behind the scenes
- Vito Corleone, Clemenza, and Tessio visit an armorer named Agostino Coppola. At one point, he introduces them to his son Carmine, who shows the visitors how he plays the flute. This scene is a tribute to the father and grandfather of Francis Ford Coppola. The director's father played first flute in the New York Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arturo Toscanini (1867-1957).
