Short description
Ever since killing the Fisherman one year ago, Julie James is still haunted by images of him after her. When her best friend Karla wins free tickets to the Bahamas, Julie finds this a perfect opportunity to finally relax. But someone is waiting for her. Someone who she thought was dead. Someone who is out again for revenge.

- Audiences reacted hostilely to the film, and Freddie Prinze Jr., who played Ray Bronson, admitted that he didn't even watch the movie itself due to the negative reception. He only watched the film in its entirety in 2024 for his podcast 'That Was Pretty Scary...' and said that he generally liked it.
- The Colt revolver that Julie used to shoot Ben had only six bullets. Julie fired eight times, and there was one misfire, which means a total of nine shots were fired.
- Mandalay Entertainment commissioned Steven Zaillian to write another version of the script (which was presumably set to take place in New Orleans). Ultimately, however, Trey Callaway's version was preferred, although Zaillian's name also appeared among the screenwriters in the first trailers.
- After the end credits, the sound of flesh being ripped with a hook and Ben Willis' distorted laughter can be heard.
- Initially, the character of Carla Wilson was intended to be white, but Brandy Norwood came to the audition and she got the role.
- According to the original script, Ben, played by Muse Watson, who is shot by Julie (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt), says, “I will always be with you, Julie,” hinting at his own return in the horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (Sylvain White, 2006). This line is present in the script published as a book by Archways Paperback.
