Short description
A couple begins to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic cultists.
What's left behind the scenes
- Unlike James Wan's film 'The Conjuring' (2013), which is purportedly based on true events, this prequel tells a fictional story of the doll's previous owner before it was passed to the two caregivers shown at the beginning of 'The Conjuring'. The only explanation for Annabelle's origin is provided by a medium hired by the caregivers, who explained that Annabelle Higgins was a girl from the 1860s whose body was found in the field where the house was later built.
