Short description

The story of Mexican revolutionary Emiliano Zapata, who led a rebellion against the corrupt, oppressive dictatorship of president Porfirio Díaz in the early 20th century.

What's left behind the scenes

  • It is claimed that during the filming of the movie, Marlon Brando (1924-2004) had a lot of fun. Once he set off several firecrackers in the lobby of a Texas hotel, climbed a tree under the windows of Jean Peters’ (1926-2000) room at 3 a.m. and sang a serenade, frightened everyone present by pretending to be dead after filming a shootout scene where his character died, and told reporters who once appeared on the set that he ate locusts and antelope eyes.
