Short description

When Michael and Karen Carr’s home is robbed, the couple strike up a friendship with duty officer Pete Davis. But the disturbed cop develops an intense fixation on Karen, and his idea of friendship soon turns into a dangerous obsession, making him the Carrs’ worst nightmare.

What's left behind the scenes

  • In the love scene, stand-ins were used instead of Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe.
  • According to the inscription on the side of the car, the police department's motto is "To Serve and Protect," and it was founded in 1781. In reality, however, the motto is "To Protect and Serve," and the department was founded between 1853 and 1869.
